Carpenter Job Description:
i2000 is currently recruiting for Carpenters at Gatehill Partners Ltd.
Carpenters must have at least 1 year experience and knowledge of carpentry materials/ techniques. You must have a hands-on approach and be able to ready blueprints.
Physical fitness and manual dexterity are also essential.
Candidate must be able to:
- Carefully study blueprints and sketches
- Execute measuring activities - Cut, shape and smooth the needed material
- Build stairways, doors and window frames, partitions and rafters
- Carve and assemble furniture, kitchen cabinets, siding and drywall
- Install items where designated - Conduct repairs and maintenance
- Layout floorings, roofing or drywalls ensuring they are levelled and compatible
- Strong attention to detail and a very good knowledge of different carpentry materials.
- Communicate effectively in English.
Hours:
37.5 Hours per week.
Salary:
£22,500 per annum
Licence/certification preferred:
- CSCS
- Driving Licence
On-the-job training provided and employer will train and register bricklayers for Construction Skills Certification Scheme.

Bricklayer Job Description:
Brick Mason
Main Responsibilities:
- Lay bricks and stones to construct walls, arches, and other structures according to blueprints and specifications.
- Mix mortar and spread it evenly between bricks or stones.
- Use various tools such as trowels, levels, and hammers to align and set bricks or stones.
- Cut bricks or stones to fit around windows, doors, or other obstacles.
- Repair or replace damaged bricks or stones.
- Clean and prepare surfaces before laying bricks or stones.
- Follow safety procedures and wear protective equipment while working.
Requirements for this role:
- Proven experience as a Brick Mason or similar role.
- Knowledge of different types of bricks, stones, and mortar.
- Ability to read blueprints and follow construction plans.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in bricklaying techniques.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Good communication skills to collaborate with other construction workers.
- Familiarity with related trades such as roofing, carpentry, or welding is a plus.
Salary:
£22,500 per annum
